How can we design materials that act as an extension of our skin? Materials that monitor and adapt to our constantly changing physical state? Can they provide protection and exposure at the same time? Connection and isolation? Support and disruption?

A speculative dwelling space acting as a womb, a cocoon, its form is minimal, leaving the focus on its relationship with the body and mind. Its ability to adapt and morph around its occupant. Its ability to allow controlled light transmission and form distortion through material manipulation. Utilising morphing, biodegradable materials reliant on support from permanent sites, this speculative piece explores the symbiotic relationships between the structure, the occupant, and their surroundings.

Materials: gelatine, water, glycerol, foaming agent, silk, recycled cotton, papier-mâché, wool, polydoh mouldable plastic
